The duration of therapy varies depending on individual needs and goals. Some clients find short-term therapy (8-12 sessions) sufficient for addressing specific issues, while others benefit from longer-term support. We'll discuss your unique situation and establish initial goals in our first sessions. Remember, therapy is a collaborative process, and you're always in control of how long you choose to continue.

Typically, I recommend weekly sessions if possible, especially at the beginning of therapy. This frequency allows us to build momentum and establish a strong therapeutic relationship. As you progress and feel more stable, you might consider reducing the frequency to bi-weekly sessions. In some cases, such as during crisis periods or intensive work, we might agree that more frequent sessions would be beneficial. We'll work together to find a schedule that best supports your healing and growth.

Therapy can be beneficial for anyone looking to improve their mental health, work through challenges, or foster personal growth. You might consider therapy if you're:
Experiencing persistent feelings of sadness, anxiety, or other emotional distress
Struggling with relationships or communication
Dealing with significant life changes or transitions
Coping with trauma or loss
Feeling stuck or unsatisfied in life
Wanting to understand yourself better and develop healthier patterns
Even if you're not in crisis, therapy can be a valuable tool for self-discovery and personal development. If you're unsure, I offer initial consultations where we can discuss your situation and determine if therapy would be helpful for you. The most important factor is your willingness to engage in the process of self-reflection and growth.Item description
